Objective: CARTaGENE (CaG) is a biobank and a population-based cohort in Quebec, providing a unique resource with 43,000 participants representative of the population aged 40 to 69, followed prospectively. All data is accessible to the scientific community to accelerate health research. Recruitment was carried out in 2009-2010 and 2013-2014. The data collected includes questionnaires on health, nutrition, environment, physical measurements, etc. Biological samples (blood derivatives and urine) were collected to generate biochemical and genetic data. Data is regularly updated using health follow-up questionnaires and linkage to administrative health data. CaG is a public resource accessible to all health researchers.
