Exposome Lab, Canada

Registration Status: Pending

Objective: To date, most research has focused on understanding individual relationships between a person’s exposures, or risk factors with select primary and secondary outcomes. However, the complexity of external and individual exposures, the interactions and correlations between those exposures (social, mental and physical conditions) and disease-disease interaction as well as the way a person’s body responds to those exposures and interactions are not understood. Our research integrate big data, social, epidemiological, basic, and clinical information collected in ongoing retrospective and prospective funded studies to identify exposome risk profiles that can predict negative clinical outcomes in people living with HIV, and associated syndemics of STBBIs, tuberculosis and pneumonia.
