Objective: Biospecimens collected from pregnant women living with HIV and controls (whole blood, dried blood spot, plasma, serum, placenta tissue, cheek swab, vaginal swab) and their infant (blood, umbilical cord tissue, umbilical cord blood cheek swab, infant ear lobe swab). The project studies the effect of HIV and antiretroviral on drugs on the health of mothers and infants, on the risk of preterm birth and pregnancy complications, in the context of other determinants of health.
