“The Resource Center is a much needed platform and has significantly helped me in the start-up phase of my Biobank. In fact, the team's expertise has been extremely valuable and instrumental in drafting protocols and consent forms, assisting in the standardization of collecting, processing and storing biospecimens, as well as hiring and training personnel for my own biobank”

“The Resource Center has significantly helped the Heart Centre by providing support and assistance with the initiation of Permission to Contact (PTC) projects in several Heart Centre clinics. Four clinics have participated in PTC projects and have successfully recruited patients to participate in future research studies. The PTC process allows researchers and clinicians to connect with the donor and is a valuable tool for recruiting patients for future research projects”

“I have been very pleased to see progress with the initiation of Permission to Contact (PTC) projects in several clinics at the BC Children's and Women's Hospitals. Three clinics have started PTC projects and have successfully obtained permission to contact patients for participation in future research studies. The Resource Centre has provided valuable support through application and protocol reviews, obtaining support from hospital departments and clinic staff, database development and maintenance, and training staff on the PTC process.”
