Human Studies Unit - Institute for Molecular Bioscience, Australia

Certification Status: Approved
Registration Status: Completed

Objective: The Human Studies Unit (HSU) enables all aspects of sample collection for human research studies from project design through to sample processing and storage. Located within the Institute for Molecular Biosciences at The University of Queensland, the HSU currently supports 14 research projects across Australia and the Asia Pacific area. The HSU team have also developed a custom content management system (CMS) providing data capture from clinic to lab. The web based CMS allows cross-site standardisation and portability in terms of managing data associated with participants enrolled in research studies. HSU supports a broad range of research projects including neurodegenerative disorders, women's health, family and children studies and mental health.
