Objective: The scope of the biobank is to collect fresh and formalin-fixed benign and tumour tissue for patients who have consented to participate in the biobank and who have been diagnosed with an oncologic problem and are undergoing a surgical procedure(s) for diagnostic/therapeutic purposes. The option is also available to collect a research blood specimen(s) for biomarker assessment and/or future unknown research into the etiology/prognostic research related to cancer.
