Objective: The overarching objective of the GI-Hep Biobank is the conservation of material (e.g., DNA, RNA, serum, stool, urine, gastrointestinal/liver tissue, etc.), and data (e.g., clinical data, genetic data) collected from 1) patients with IBD, IBD-associated liver disease, chronic diarrhea/enteropathy, and other related conditions, 2) their biological relatives (affected or unaffected), and 3) controls (healthy or with a health condition other than those of interest to the Biobank), to enable research generally aimed at furthering a precision medicine approach to the management of paediatric GI/hepatic disorders.
