CHIPS Biobank, Canada

Registration Status: Pending

Objective: For those participants that consented to biobank, their de-identified samples will continue to be stored in the biobank until 31st December 2038 for future research purposes. The only time any personally identifiable information will be used is in the data analyses and linking the personal data to the biological data. This is necessary to understand relationships between age, sex, and gender on diabetes. However, all personal data will be kept in files that are only labeled with the subject ID number. This way, participants can withdraw their samples from the biobank at any time and their samples would be destroyed.
