Vancouver Prostate Centre Genitourinary BioBank A Collection of Biospecimens and Data for Research, Canada

Registration Status: Completed

Objective: The purpose of the Vancouver Prostate Centre (VPC) Tissue Bank & Biorepository is to store fresh frozen and formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue samples, blood and urine from a wide spectrum of patients with different genitourinary conditions, including cancers, with the intention of providing these samples to the research scientists at VPC for ongoing and future clinical, molecular and genetic investigations. This process will involve explicit patient consent, and will incorporate only tissues that would have been removed at the time of surgery or biopsy regardless of any tissue banking.
