TATA MEDICAL CENTER BIOREPOSITORY (TiMBR), India

Registration Status: Completed

Objective: TiMBR (Tata Medical Center Biorepository), established in 2013, has evolved into an objective-driven biobanking facility, optimizing sample utilization and refining protocols for enhanced efficiency. With a repository of approximately 95,000 biological specimens (plasma, tissue, nucleic acids, viable cells, and organoids), TiMBR supports over 25 research projects and clinical trials across eight departments at Tata Medical Center, New Town, West Bengal, India. Specializing in hematological malignancies and solid tumors, particularly Gall Bladder and Breast Cancer, TiMBR maintains a robust collection of high-quality samples, including viable leukemic cells and tumor organoids. Rigorous preservation and post-retrieval validation procedures ensure the integrity of these specimens for impactful translational research.
