Objective: NDRI maintains several bioinventories which focus on rarer disease specimens that are more challenging to procure prospectively. Our Logistics facility is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) as a biorepository. We maintain compliance with biomaterials handling regulations for storing and shipping samples to approved researchers. Our biorepository includes: • Tissues across body sites from donors with diseases such as HIV, glioblastoma, and cystic fibrosis Surgical Discard Inventory, including excised samples from living donors who had surgical removal of tissue, such as cancerous tumors • Alzheimer’s Disease/Alzheimer’s Disease-Related Dementia Brain Inventory, with whole brains from donors with diagnosed or undiagnosed Alzheimer’s Disease • Ocular Slide Inventory, including whole globes, posterior pole, cornea, aqueous, vitreous, and lens • LAM-TR Inventory, with tissues from donors with rare lung disease, Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM)
